KIA Website Update

For those who may not have checked out the KIA website lately (click here to view page), see the "President's Message below:

It’s been an honor to serve on the Kaka’ako Improvement Association (KIA), Board of directors for the past 5 years. During that time I’ve worked mainly at Waterfront Plaza, or as most of you know “Restaurant Row”. It’s interesting to think how Kaka’ako was once fishing villages, fishing ponds and salt ponds before the new skyscrapers started coming up.

As a resident of the area I have a vested interest in the future success of our community and can understand the needs and wants from both a business and residential perspective and we will continue to keep you informed. I would like to give a big thank you to Sherry Goya your executive Director and the entire KIA board who works diligently in your behalf.

We welcome our new and returning (KIA) members and ask that you continue to visit our website for details of upcoming 2016 events.

Thank you again for your membership in KIA and for supporting our Association.  Please feel free to share your ideas for improvement and we look forward to hearing from you.

Mahalo,

Steven Sullivan

KIA Networking Event

There has been talk that the KIA Networking Event is a great opportunity to bring members together to: (1) Meet in person, (2) get to know each other’s company, (3) make appointments to work together, (4) give each other referrals, and (5) offer accolades of those businesses who have already worked with a KIA member. The second and last event will be held Wednesday, June 15th from 11:30am in the Cupola Room of the Honolulu Design Center. Be on the lookout for an email announcement when RSVPs are needed. This is a free event, with a bring-your-own lunch, or selected lunch items will be in the June KIA newsletter to purchase at a nice discount from the Stage Restaurant.
