Historic Ala Moana Pumping Station
Anthony Ching, HCDA Executive Director made a presentation on the TOD (Transit Oriented Development) Overlay Plan. The same presentation can be found on the HCDA website (www.hcdaweb.org), lower right side titled “Kakaako,” and click on “HCDA Presentation.”
The KIA General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, August 7th, starting at 11:30am, is the second and last general meeting for 2013. It promises to give KIA members valuable information which is up-to-date as possible from the people who know. An RSVP is needed as lunch will be provided at no cost, up to two attendees per member company. Cost for additional attendees is $10 for members or $15 for non-members. Lunch will be purchased through long-time KIA member Asahi Grill. See added information below.

KIA member, Joett Colgan, of Primary Properties is now one of the select group of professionals nationwide to earn the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation, identifying her as a Real Estate Broker with the skills and knowledge necessary to remodel or modify a home to meet the unique needs of the older population, disabled owners or their visitors. There will be a Public Hearing on Wednesday, July 17th, starting at 9am in the HCDA office located at 461 Cooke Street. This is to allow the applicant, Victoria Ward, to present its proposed projects (404 Ward, 1122 and 1140 Ala Moana Blvd, and 1108 Auahi Street) and provide the general public with an opportunity to present oral and/or written testimony.
