Mahalo KIA Board

For the past year, the KIA Board was lead by President Michael Libertini, along with Vice President Jeff Sandborn and Secretary/Treasurer Baron Nakamura. Directors of the KIA Board are Andrea Galvin, Mark Higa, Kelton Kato, Jared Kashiwabara, Paul Kimura, Kurt Murata, Stanford Ono, Dexter Okada, Peterson Rosario, and Steven Sullivan. They should all be thanked for their dedication to KIA’s Board and general membership meetings, as well as supporting KIA’s networking events and fundraiser.

2020 Board Elections

Click here for the BALLOT for the 2020 Board of Directors. Please print, vote, and either email to sgoyallc@aol.com, fax to 808-235-3650, or mail to KIA at P. O. Box 3776; Honolulu, HI 96812. The Board and officers will be introduced at the January KIA General Membership Meeting.

KIA General Membership Meeting

The first KIA General Membership Meeting for 2020 will be held on Wednesday, January 29th from 11:30am at Dave and Buster’s. As usual, there is no cost to KIA members to attend, along with one guest. Lunch will be provided; so any no-shows should reimburse KIA the $15 lunch cost. RSVPs will be taken in January.

Guest speakers will talk about the land transfer of the Kakaako Waterfront Park from the state to city, an update from Kamehameha Schools on their Kakaako Properties, and added information regarding 2020 with KIA and in Kakaako.

Anyone with announcements for KIA members should email Sherry Goya, KIA Executive Director at sgoyallc@aol.com for time at the meeting. Attendees may also bring business cards, flyers, brochures, etc. for networking with fellow KIA members before and after lunch.

KIA 2020 Renewals

KIA members were emailed the 2020 membership renewal form; however, some are not on the January to December schedule. Please call, text or email Sherry Goya, KIA Executive Director (722-8487 or sgoyallc@aol.com) for clarification if payment was made in 2019, as KIA dues are good for twelve months.

Save The Date

The KIA Invitational Golf Tournament date and location have been chosen by the Board. The Golf Committee will be meeting in January and offer more information to KIA members, family, friends and clients/customers to join in. Anyone interested on being on the Golf Committee should email Sherry at sgoyallc@aol.com.

That said, please save Friday, August 21st at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club to help support KIA member MCAA Muriel Preschool.
