KIA Invitational Golf Tournament
What a beautiful day for a golf tournament at the Pearl Country Club on Wednesday, June 27th. The Children’s Discovery Center received $11,910 from the Kakaako Improvement Association from proceeds of the KIA Invitational Golf Tournament. There were thirty-six teams and fifteen volunteers supporting KIA and the Children’s Discovery Center. KIA members who supported the tournament were Karen’s Kitchen (discounted lunches), Redmont Group (tent with “spirits”), Kaiser Permanente (roaming cart of snacks and drinks), and Bank of Hawaii (Hole-in-One spotters). A big MAHALO goes to them all.
The check presentation of $11,910 from proceeds of the golf tournament was given to Loretta Yajima of the Children’s Discovery Center. The KIA Golf Committee, who has been meeting since November 2017, should be congratulated for all the work to make the golf tournament a success:
