All Board members were confirmed and officers were elected at the January 2018 KIA Board meeting. A big MAHALO goes to past President Steve Sullivan for his dedication, support and contribution to the Kakaako Improvement Association over the past two years. His leadership with the KIA General Membership Meetings, Kakaako Clean-Up and wine tasting events also benefited KIA and its members. Steve thanked the Board for supporting him and appreciates their continued dedication to KIA.

2018 Membership Renewals
Mahalo to KIA members who have renewed their 2018 membership. Attached to this newsletter is the renewal form that all members may use to continue as a valued member. The benefits are the monthly newsletters, two General Membership Meetings and two KIA Networking Events a year. There is no extra charge for the benefits, so take advantage of this annual renewal.

The January episode of Career Changers TV was premiered on Wednesday, January 3rd at 9 PM on Spectrum OC16 Channel 12 and run daily at different times until February 6th. Daily viewing times are posted on www.careerchangers.tv. Lunch will be served at the KIA General Membership Meeting, starting at 11:30am on Wednesday, January 31st at Dave & Busters 2nd floor showroom. Great speakers have been secured, all doing timely presentations at they relate to the Kakaako area. Announcement will be made about the KIA Invitational Golf Tournament set for Wednesday, June 27th at the Pearl Country Club.
RSVPs are being taken by Sherry Goya, KIA Executive Director at sgoyallc@aol.com (need attending names and company name) or call 722-8487 with the same information. Two attendees per KIA membership is invited at no charge. Anyone over the two attendees, cost is $15 for the cost of the lunch. Anyone unable to attend will be charged the $15 cost, unless cancellation is made by January 29th by calling Sherry.
KIA Invitational Golf Tournament
Notice has already been made, but as a reminder, the KIA Invitational Golf Tournament will be held at the Pearl Country Club on Wednesday, June 27th from 11am. The beneficiary for the 2018 tournament will be the Children’s Discovery Center, so please participate with a sponsorship or team. The brochure can be found online at golf.kia-hawaii.org or a printed version will be at the KIA General Membership Meeting. See you at the tournament!
